Is there anything besides oil change cabin filter and dsg flush i need to be doing.

2006 vw gti 40k service. Im not paying a dealer hundreds of dollars for an oil change and visual inspection of the components of my car. For all of you guys near enough the chicagoland area autobarn vw is the place to go for these services. Hi everyonewill be getting my first dsg 40000 mile service at the dealership.

My 2010 gti is ready for its post carefree service. I skipped the 40k service mainly because of the 900 yikes. I have a 2007 vw passat wagon and am trying to follow the vw service guide.

So i just hit 40k yesterday and i called up my local dealer desert vw to ask about my service. This video will show you how to perform this service with expert tips from a vw technician. I keep relatively good care of my care of it however it is my first manual transmission so im mainly concerned about that kinda wanna know.

I checked a ton of dealers in the area and they all ran close to 600 for the 40k service and almost 500 for the 40k dsg service. I told the nice gentleman that he was confused and since i drove a manual i wouldnt be needing the dsg service. Im currently at 49k miles and am thinking of just taking it in for the 50k service but was wondering if you guys think its worth it.

The dsg maintenance service is a must every 40k miles on any vws or audis with the dsg transmission. See for yourself below as i asked them for prices in their thread. When i went to schedule an appointment with the dealer i bought the car from i was quoted over 700 for what appears to be nothing much more than a glorified oil change and check up.

I was told that the total cost for the scheduled 40k service would be 960. Autobarn vw will do it for much less. Any one have an idea about the cost.
